The location of this hotel is excellent, with easy walking distance to many areas in downtown Cairo. It's ideal for accessing various sites and exploring the vibrant city. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay for guests. The rooms are clean and well kept, with lovely antique furniture that adds a touch of charm. The attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel. The breakfast, included in the stay, is great and provides a good start to the day. The hotel's central location makes it convenient for exploring the area and visiting nearby attractions.
The rooms could benefit from a major update to improve their overall appearance.

Beautiful old building with a lot of caracter. Friendly and helpful staff. Bar with a nice atmosphere. Centrally located. Wi Fi connection.
The room was dark, hot and noisy- the airconditioning was even more noisy so we prefered the heat. The beds were uncofortable- probably overused. Room and bathroom could use a general make over. The price reflects the impressive history of the place, rather than its current state.

Fabulous location in downtown Cairo and within walking distance to the Museum. Genuine, helpful and happy staff. Made our stay memorable especially the lovely lady who supervises the breakfast! The rooms and the hotel are faded grandeur. A great place for a good nights comfortable sleep. Recommended! Good value for the money.

This hotel offers exceptional value for money in the heart of the bustling city center. Despite being located in a crowded and noisy neighborhood, the attention to detail in this historic building is impressive. The staff are friendly and the basic amenities, including suitable air conditioning, provide a comfortable stay. The rooms, although with odd bathrooms, are well-maintained and the breakfast served is a nice addition.
No major issues, everything was satisfactory.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel in the city center. The location was perfect, right in the heart of all the action. The staff were so friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The rooms, although basic, were clean and comfortable, with suitable air con to beat the heat. And the best part, breakfast was included in the price! Such a great value for money.
No complaints, everything was perfect.

Historic setting, attentive and enthusiastic staff, great downtown Cairo location, charming and true to its "faded grandeur British Colonial" description which added to the enjoyable ambiance, owners were approachable and gracefully accommodated our room change request. Great value for our money. Ate most of our meals at the restaurant, never got sick. Made our first visit to Cairo very memorable.
Smoking allowed in the famous Barrel Bar, but that's Cairo.

The hotel had a grand old structure with ornate antique furniture that was interesting to look at. The bar was brilliant and offered a cozy place to relax. The hotel was in a central location and had a lot of options for tasty eateries nearby.
The hotel lacked adequate renovation and attention to detail. The beds were also uncomfortable, and the rooms were noisy due to traffic.

The price was right, free internet, two blocks from Attaba Metro station, breakfast was simple (tea with a few pieces of toast and jam/cheese), lounge was comfortable and quiet. Other guests were primarily international tourists.
The street noise from nearby cafes could bother some, but it was drowned out by the regular hum of the AC. The shared bath in the hall might bother some, so spend the extra $10/night and go for the private room with shower.

The hotel is well located within walking distance of most major attractions.
The floor in my room had not seen a vacuum cleaner in months!

All staff in the hotel were very, very kind and helpful! In the Windsor hotel you can feel spirit of past colonial days. The location is great - very near to 2 metro station (metro is very cheap 1LE) or you can take a walk to the main square, heart of Cairo : Midan Tahrir (Square of Liberation).

Staying at the Windsor Hotel was like stepping into a time capsule. The antique furniture, charming decor, and old-world ambiance created a truly unique and nostalgic experience. The staff were dedicated and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The tour manager, Philip, even took us to a beautiful mosque in old Cairo. It's perfect for anyone who appreciates authenticity and something different. I highly recommend this hotel for a truly bespoke travel experience.

The location was convenient and the area had a better 'Cairo' feeling than the hotel area near the museum and the Cairo Tower.
I didn't like the 20 or 30 spider bites I took home with me.
